Why you need a union

Unite, the Hotel workers Union has been fighting for workers all over the UK since 1889 and although a lot has been achieved over those years there are still many workers who do not have the collective protection that is won when we come together in our workplaces and join the union.
Many of us have witnessed bullying and harassment in our hotels, unfair treatment, lack of health and safety, low pay, disrespect, victimisation and favouritism.
There are two responses to this kind of unacceptable behaviour; one is to keep silent and endure it , the other is to fight back and help organise the union in your workplace.
Every journey starts with the first step.
Join the union, arrange to meet with us confidentially and together we can start planning to bring justice to your workplace.
Nothing worth fighting for is easy but take confidence that if you make that first step you'll be joining millions of workers just like you that decided to stand up for respect and justice in their workplaces.
Contact Kevin or Hugh (details on the contact button at the top of the page) and we'll arrange to meet you for a cup of coffee at a time and place of your choosing.
We look forward to hearing from you.
